大地に眠る宝石たちは、
いつも夜空の星々を見上げていた――
そんなふうに語り残したのは、
月語りの村フレークの始祖、
星使い フレーク・セレイアであるという。
ある夜のこと。
セレイアは、丘の上で星を見上げていた。
その手の中には、
まだ磨かれていない、ひとつの石。
曇り、光を知らぬままの小さな宝石があった。
けれど――
月の光が、そっと触れたその瞬間。
その奥で、
かすかな光が、確かに揺れた。
セレイアは、それを見つめながら、
やわらかく微笑んで言ったという。
「ああ、そうか。
あなたも星なのね。」
星は、空に現れて輝くもの。
けれど宝石は――
大地の奥で眠る、もうひとつの星。
見いだされ、
磨かれたとき。
その光は、はじめて
この世界に語りかける。
だから宝石たちは、
夜空を見上げていたのだと――
いつか、自らも
輝く日を夢見て。
そう、セレイアは静かに語ったという。

The Star of the Earth
— A Legend of Stars and Gemstones —
The gemstones that sleep within the earth
have always gazed up at the stars in the night sky—
So it is said by
Freak Seireia, the Starbearer,
founder of the Moon-speaking Village of Flake.
One night,
Seireia stood upon a hill, looking up at the stars.
In her hand
was a single, unpolished stone—
a small gem, still clouded, untouched by light.
And yet—
the moment moonlight softly brushed against it,
a faint glow
gently stirred within.
Seireia gazed at it,
and with a quiet smile, she said:
“Ah… I see.
You are a star as well.”
Stars shine in the sky above.
But gemstones—
they are another kind of star,
sleeping deep within the earth.
When they are discovered,
when they are polished—
their light, at last,
begins to speak to the world.
And so, it is said,
that gemstones gazed up at the night sky—
dreaming of the day
they too would shine.
So Seireia quietly told the tale.
And the light that sleeps within you—
perhaps it, too,
is still waiting
to be discovered.
