十二の信念を掲げ、サロス王国を支えた十二支騎士団。
そして、彼らに贈られた“二つの証の指環”に秘められた物語です。
── 詩篇のはじまり：戦火を越えた信念
稲穂の波が風にそよぎ、蜻蛉が宙を舞う。
心豊かに日々を紡いでいたサロス王国の空に、
突如、黒き軍勢が影を落とした――
天地を震わせ襲来したのは、
隣国ラブロ王国より放たれた鉄騎兵旅団。
その先頭に立つは、黒き甲冑の将・黒騎士キーオン。
王都が絶望に沈まんとしたとき、
砦《エクェス》より現れた白き希望―― 白騎士オロポスと、
その信念を同じくする十二の騎士たちが立ち上がります。
彼らは道を切り開き、天に誓い、仲間と力を重ねた。
その数、わずか十二――されど、信念という名の盾があれば、
その魂は百にも勝る強さを宿す。
黒の軍勢を退けたのち、
騎士たちは深く傷つきながらも、
心折れることなく、大地に立ち続けたのです。
──十二支騎士団と“もうひとつの指環”
戦いの後、王・豊楽アルマクオーレは、
彼らに「十二支騎士団」の称号を授け、
“信念”の象徴として、二つの意匠をもつ指環を作らせました。
前回紹介した指環は、道を守る者の盾。

今回紹介する指環は、天に誓う者の盾。
“こころを映す装心具”として生まれたこの指環は、
いまも、時を越えて問いかけてきます。

This is the legend of those who fought to protect all they held sacred.
Supported by twelve unyielding faiths, they were the Order of the Zodiac—the twelve knights who sustained the Kingdom of Saros.
And this is the tale hidden within the “Two Rings of Witness” bestowed upon them.
── The Prelude of the Psalm: Faith Forged in Fire
Waves of golden rice rustled in the wind, and dragonflies danced through the air.
In the skies above the Kingdom of Saros, where people spun their peaceful days in abundance, a dark army suddenly cast its shadow.
Shaking the heavens and the earth, the Iron Cavalry Brigade unleashed by the neighboring Kingdom of Labro struck without mercy.
At their vanguard stood the general clad in pitch-black armor—the Black Knight, Kion.
As the royal capital was about to drown in despair, a white hope emerged from the fortress of Eques—the White Knight, Oropos, along with twelve knights who shared his noble resolve.
They carved a path through the dark, swore oaths to the heavens, and united their strength as one.
Their number was a mere twelve—yet, with the shield known as faith, their souls harbored a strength that outweighed a hundredfold.
Having repelled the dark forces, the knights stood battered and deeply wounded, yet their spirits remained unbroken upon the earth.
── The Order of the Zodiac and “The Other Ring”
In the aftermath of the battle, King Almaquore the Bountiful bestowed upon them the title of “The Order of the Zodiac.”
As a symbol of their enduring resolve, he commanded the creation of rings bearing two distinct designs.
The ring introduced before was the shield for those who guard the path:
The Shield Named Faith ── From the Genesis of the Order of the Zodiac.
The ring introduced this day is the shield for those who swear to the heavens.
Born as “The Soul-Reflecting Adornment,” this ring still reaches across time, posing a question to us all:
— What is the faith that you clothe yourself in as you live?
