星の願いの首飾り

――夜空があなたへ贈るひと粒の光

月にもっとも近い場所にあるという村、フレーク。

この村には古くより、
星々の声に耳を傾け、
その想いを感じ取る者たちが暮らしていた。

人々は彼らを、
「星使い」と呼んだという。

星使いたちには、
ひとつの言い伝えがあった。

夜空に輝く星々は、
ただ遠い空に浮かんでいるのではない。

ひとつひとつが、
地上に生きる誰かを見守りながら、
静かに光を届けているのだと。

そして、ある夜。

もしも暗い夜空に、
星がひとつだけ輝いていたなら――

それは、偶然そこに現れた光ではない。

誰かのこころへ届くことを願い、
夜空の彼方から降りてきた、
たったひと粒の光なのだという。

その光には、
言葉にならない想いが宿っている。

遠く離れた誰かを想う気持ち。
無事を願う祈り。
そして、いつもそばにいると伝えたい、
小さな約束。

触れることはできなくとも、
その想いは、確かにここにある。

やがて星使いたちは、
夜空から届いたひと粒の光を、
小さな首飾りに託したと伝えられている。

それが、
《星の願いの首飾り》のはじまりである。

フレークの古い記録には、
こんな言葉が残されている。

「星は、願いを叶えるためだけに
輝いているのではない。

誰かを想うこころがあることを、
忘れさせないために輝いているのだ。

たとえ声が届かずとも、
たとえ姿が見えずとも、
星の光は、いつもそこにある。

夜空を見上げる者がいるかぎり、
その光が消えることはないだろう」

The Necklace of a Star’s Wish

— A Tiny Light Bestowed Upon You by the Night Sky

Fleake, a village said to lie closer to the moon than any other place.

Since ancient times, there have lived in this village those who listened to the voices of the stars and sensed the feelings they carried.

The people called them
“Star Messengers.”

Among the Star Messengers,
there was an old legend.

The stars that shine in the night sky
do not merely float in the distant heavens.

Each one, it was said,
watches over someone living below,
quietly sending its light down to them.

And then, one night…

If ever you should see
a single star shining in the darkened sky—

That light is not there by chance.

It is said to be a tiny fragment of light
that has descended from beyond the heavens,
hoping to find its way into someone’s heart.

Within that light
lies a feeling too deep for words.

The love of someone far away.
A prayer for someone’s safety.
And a little promise, wishing to say,
“I am always by your side.”

Though it cannot be touched,
that feeling is surely here.

It is told that, in time,
the Star Messengers entrusted
that tiny light from the night sky
to a delicate necklace.

Thus began
The Necklace of a Star’s Wish.

An ancient record from Fleake
preserves these words:

“Stars do not shine
merely to grant our wishes.

They shine so that we may never forget
that there is always a heart
somewhere wishing for another.

Even when a voice cannot reach you,
even when a face cannot be seen,
the light of the stars is always there.
